Anush Avetisyan is an International Program Specialist in the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP). Ms. Avetisyan primarily works on CLDP’s programs in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, which focus on intellectual property protection, customs and trade-related programs, and judicial capacity building.
Prior to joining CLDP, Ms. Avetisyan worked with Kroll, a global risk consulting firm, providing research support on compliance, due diligence and sanctions. Previously, Ms. Avetisyan worked with the International Foundation on Electoral Systems (IFES) and Pact, working on projects across Eastern Europe and Eurasia focused on electoral reforms, voter education, citizen participation and capacity building. She has also interned with the Office of Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and the Progressive Leadership Alliance for Nevada.
Ms. Avetisyan earned her Master of Arts in International Affairs from the School of International Service at the American University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Ms. Avetisyan is fluent in Armenian, Russian and has a working knowledge of Greek and Spanish.
